Seasons

Wind from another time and place.
Blowing in, revealing a different face.
One face to another that face did say:
Among the autumn leaves, come to play.
A sunset in fall before the winter snow.
One last embrace before the fading of hearts glow.
Far beyond springtime and those carefree days past,
Even summer had mourned and into shadows cast,
Any semblance, any thought that bore
Resemblance to a memory that one could not ignore.
Now here in autumn, waiting for the snow,
Praying winter, its face, it won’t forget to show.

Quote

Lucida

She was born and Lucida was her name.
Constant was her existential crisis
To her condition lay all of the blame
And pass responsibility of this
To nobody else per her solitude.
To her, it seemed, others were too distant.
Possessing this mindset, this attitude,
She has borne the cold mask of dissidence.
She would soon discover, but now unknown,
Like those of the sky: Vega and Rigel,
She among many, the brightest to glow.
What is seen on her surface predicts well
The beauty within only others see.
She’ll learn she is as much as she believes.

An Unknown Glow

He did not care to think beyond
The night times star and heralds song.
It called for him a dawn brighter.
Brighter, and more clearly so.
Lighter
He tread on through dusks of unknown glow.
With none but his own inhibitions,
He held himself back with these and his suspicions.
He and day. Between them a wall.
His crippling paranoia standing tall.
There pacing back and forth within the boundary of the shadows,
He cannot sacrifice the weight that keeps him in this land so fallow.
