A morning sun swallows whole cold abyss.
Out of sunrise crawls forth another day.
Shadows in colds absence make way for this,
This place in time where playful daylight stays.
An eater of days gives birth to new dawn.
Its digestion is the passing of time,
And where once was silence there now is song.
Each days end, and I’ve heard too many, chimes.
Days pass, and I do not grow so tired,
That I may not rise and hold close each piece
Of my heart, and do so ’till expired.
Distant conclusion with so long a lease.
Devoured time and light and day now brings,
Value and reasons for my heart to sing.

He speaks to the darkness a question,
The echos repeat it back
Before they give an answer.
Though he is most certainly alone,
He searches for the source in the dark
How can the echo speak of wisdom?
He hears the answer again.
Now he knows
The answer was his all along.
His answer his own
He finds his home
In the dark.
The daylight will find him soon.
From this truth he won’t depart.
Across the gap a tempting song.
A pond, a light, a stone.
On the far bank, far beyond,
A vessel long grown cold.
Daylight does nothing to warm.
How can there be a song without a soul?
There is no life within the vacancy.
The void stares back and somehow sings.
Such beautiful things
Set my mind at ease.
I am at waters edge,
and take a step.
Turning to stone, I sink and pledge,
To rise again after my ego-death.

I am here within the shadows
Behind the eye with which you see.
I am imagination fallow
When the inner mind comes to be.
I leave trails for you to follow,
That you so obediently tread.
I am the truth that you must swallow,
I am the lies, out which you’ve bled.
I am truth and lies, and life and death,
All of this and none.
I am your need until your last breath,
Then, forever one.
There in the daylight dreams,
That seems to separate,
Sunlight isn’t the only illusion that seems
To find you desolate.
Not so much within,
As he who helps to cast it.
A notion of sanity? Frozen.
I am here to move you past it.
