Balloon

I hold a balloon.
I am again child-like.
Vicariously.

Child

We are all we are
Followed by, but not just this,
They are also us.

Wisdom Stagnates

In the twilight I sat deceased
While the shadows filled with teeth
I was the child of the night, I was the corpse of dawn.
Nobody wanted change,
Therefore, hence I still remain
While their ignorance brews and their so-called wisdom stagnates.
They do not gather knowledge from,
Everywhere and everyone,
Here’s to a stale world that doesn’t change.
With the light switch out of reach I will remain.

A Burning of Roses

gianni-zanato-461187.jpg

Burning roses by the sea,
A fragrant smoke that all can see.

A child plays in the rising tide.
Its mother, her fears, in God doth confide.

A beautiful thing, burnt, no more.
Priceless lives we all adore.

Courage to go into the waves
Does nothing for one who waits on the shore.

History Repeats

How foolish that, a child may,
In passing danger, forget to say
To its comrade close in tow,
“Beware!” and “Look out below!”
Once passed the danger fades.
Out of sight, they’ll continue to play
Look again and you might see,
That foolish are the children we.
History is the passing danger.
The playmate is the foretold stranger,
What was past, if then forgotten,
Shall have us caught in its tomb, rotten.

Final Hour

To consider ones mortality, in youth, that we may see,
How long a lasting friendship, with that, we may be.
In understanding a child, to the reaper, gives a flower,
So that in passing, they’ll be friends when met in that final hour.
