The Conqueror And Then some

I am the
Conqueror And Then some!
They’ll feel my wrath! All lands!
Subjects? Peasants? Servants!
They are but to serve me so!
My water smells too much like water! Change it!
My food dish is a kernel low! Bring more!
Bring to me the silly grass!
What? How dare you tell me no!
Your villages will burn!
You’ll each take my claw as punishment in turn!
But not until I’ve had my nap.
I am the
Conqueror And Then some!
And now I’ll conquer your lap.

This pebble.
This descendant of boulders,
This son of mountains.
This once strong and mighty thing
I see here in my path.
I kick it.
It matters not.

Unacceptable Stairs

The mountain, the ark
The ziggurat. Embark
Upon a path of oneness that time forgot.
The head that floats there,
Those that lead into the air,
An end not unlike a brain and a blood-clot.
My ego death and following joy,
The Infinite stairs that you employ,
Provide the motivation to persue another one.
An imbalance in your being,
Those of the oneness now seeing.
With the guardian of the mountain struck down, I’m done.

This poem was inspired by Lemongrabs part in the Adventure Time episode “The Mountain”. As I’ve had no permission to use any of the trademarked names mentioned, I politely ask that the owners of said names do not “C and D” me.  🙂  please?  Okay thanks.

Watch the way a swallow flies,
Unladen by a coconut,
What is this that I spy?
A knight won’t keep his mouth shut?
The improper use of this drupe,
Extracts from me a taunting.
Their fathers smell of elderberry soup!
I may have said wine; they find this undaunting.
We throw at them our goats and cows,
At our own game we won’t be bested!
We threaten second tauntings; and call them sows,
Then rejoice when they’re arrested.

Beneath This Chocolate Symphony

A whisper did recall
Their picture it will fall,
Driving you mad
Eternity staring, sad.
From my shadow watching,
You the door locking,
Me, never above you soon
You, behind the moon.
Summer sun swim here,
My peach death is near.
Beneath this chocolate symphony,
Is where I want to be.

Sleep As This

Such rest there was, and dreams as this,
Are those defined as kinds of bliss.
For those dreams so long absent,
I often doubted my minds ascent.
The sleep that only comes with the onset of dreams,
Was likely one that I’ve seldom deemed,
Anything less than necessary.
My ignorance spoke, I did not see.
I’ve missed this sleep and did not know it.
I’ve missed these dreams and those below it.
Dreams themselves,and that, that they,
Were the ones we’ve wished to save the day.
In and out, and out between,
These dreams of nothing, and those we need,
Are everything we need it seems,
To speak of all, and all we’ve seen.

I Love My Coffee

My morning coffee steaming in the sunlight,
Beauty unto itself, rousing me from night.
To its lovely amber glistening in the springs sun,
A toast! For the memories of many battles won!
For the hard days and long nights you helped me pass,
Through all the hard work without you I wouldn’t last.
Every morning I wake up to thee.
How could I go on without you, my sweet coffee?
